Hi! I’m Anna Isbell.
I’m running for Bella Vista City Council - Ward 3, Position 1.
This town is my home
My husband Matthew, our two boys (Atticus, 12 & Lochlan, 10) and I have lived in Bella Vista since 2018 and in NWA since 2016.
I grew up in Northern Wisconsin excelling in athletics, including a WIAA State Championship in basketball. I earned a full-ride basketball scholarship to the University of North Dakota, where as a role player, was part of the University’s 1st NCAA Division II National Championship team. Sports laid the foundation for my competitive spirit, work ethic, leadership and ability to work on a team. I then graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.
Fast forward to today, as a working parent I’ve spent the last 8 years working for a Fortune 1 company, responsible for a multi-million dollar weekly budget, exceeding sales, leading teams and working with manufacturers across the globe to meet the needs of our members. Solving problems brings me a sense of accomplishment, which further fuels my passion to serve.
I’ve recently retired from my 4 year commitment in a leadership position as the Corporate Chair for our Indigenous Associate Resource Group within Walmart US. I did this in order to prioritize being your City Council Member. I am in my peak and have abundant time, energy and focus to support the citizens of Bella Vista and lead us into this time of responsible and transparent growth.
As a family we enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, paddling, hanging out at the Gear Garden, basketball, martial arts and football (especially the Green Bay Packers)!
Let’s move Bella Vista Forward, together!
I manage multi-million dollar budgets, supplier relationships and cross-functional teams for a Fortune 1 company.
I’ve spent my professional career managing massive budgets and incredible teams. I would be honored to utilize my leadership experience, financial acumen and ability to listen to thoughtfully and responsibly grow Bella Vista’s economy, allowing us to continue looking after safe roads, trails and adequately funded emergency services.
Positions I’ve held or currently hold that have helped prepare me for this moment:
Senior Director Merchandising - Fresh, Freezer, Cooler, Deli
Board Member - Bella Vista Historical Society & Museum
Corporate Chair - Walmart Inc. Indigenous Associate Resource Group
Proud Mother of 2 young boys - Atticus (12) and Lochlan (10)
